The Simcenter FLOEFD trial version is completely free. Simply fill out the form with your details to request an evaluation license of Simcenter FLOEFD for Solid Edge, along with a license of the Solid Edge Foundation CAD platform.

The Simcenter FLOEFD trial version is active for 30 days from the date of activation. During this period, you can use the software freely and explore its capabilities.

The trial version includes a Simcenter FLOEFD license configured with the modules required for your analyses, including Electronics and Lighting. These capabilities cover most fluid dynamics and multiphysics simulation needs across a wide range of engineering applications.

There are no program-imposed limitations on model size or the number of saved projects. You can use Simcenter FLOEFD with the example models provided or directly with your own project geometry. You will have full access to explore and use all the CFD modeling capabilities that Simcenter FLOEFD has to offer.

Annual Subscription

Simcenter FLOEFD can be purchased through an annual or multi-year subscription.

With a Simcenter FLOEFD Subscription, you receive a commercial subscription-based license for the software, with the license type and capabilities that best suit your needs.

First, you need to get in touch with one of our sales representatives, who will prepare a tailored quotation based on your requirements, including the number of users, license type, modules, additional services (e.g., training), and payment terms.

Once you accept our proposal, you will receive the instructions to install and activate Simcenter FLOEFD on your computer within a few days.

With the annual subscription, you can activate the Simcenter FLOEFD configuration that best suits your needs: the license can be Nodelock to a PC, Floating, or Named User, and you can combine the add-on modules as you prefer. If you do not have CAD software, we can also provide a license for the Solid Edge or NX modeler.

Subscription plans are valid for one year (Annual Subscription). It is also possible to subscribe to agreements of up to 36 months, with annual billing and a guaranteed price for the entire contract duration.

This depends on the license type. With a Nodelock license, the software is locked to a specific machine, but anyone with access to that PC can run the program. With a Floating license, all users connected to the company network can access the license from their own workstation. The number of users who can run the software simultaneously depends on the number of available licenses. With a Named User license, the software is assigned to a specific user and can be accessed from any machine where that user logs in.

Yes. A customer with an active annual subscription license can transfer the license to a different machine by submitting a formal request to Siemens.

The subscription can be canceled at any time, but the software will continue to operate until the contract expiration date. Therefore, any remaining subscription period cannot be refunded, and billing cannot be interrupted. In particular, multi-year contracts with a guaranteed price cannot be terminated early.
