FLOEFD Lighting Module

The Lighting module extends the capabilities of Simcenter FLOEFD with dedicated tools for the design of professional lighting systems. In addition to thermal simulation of LED devices, it integrates advanced radiation heat transfer models, enabling accurate evaluation of the interaction between heat, materials, and light propagation.

Thanks to dedicated models for LED junction temperature, Hot Lumen calculation, and ray tracing methods such as Monte Carlo and Discrete Ordinates, engineers can optimize heat sinks, lenses, and optical components while assessing the impact of temperature on luminous performance, energy efficiency, and lighting system lifetime.
